If we learned anything from the Obama years, it was that we need as strong a Democratic majority as possible in the Senate if we hope to accomplish anything. Picking away from the Senate to leave a thin Democratic majority is even too major a risk, given the ability of Republicans to filibuster any progress.

Let's focus on electing as many Democratic Senators as possible (start with Duckworth and Feingold to flip some seats!) and forget the VP pick. It's not even that important. It's a headline maker for a few weeks, but in the end, it's the strength of the candidate that matters, not the VP pick.
