Has any nominee ever been indicted before a convention? Sounds like it could be a good premise for a novel.

My guess is that Sanders would fight like hell but the Clinton delegates and the DNC would fall in behind a respected elder statesman--a Joe Biden or Jerry Brown type. (Nah not Brown--too independent minded).

My wildcard candidate if things go south--Nancy Pelosi.

BTW, I don't think she'll be indicted but thanks to Bill's mucking around with the AG this is not going away as quickly as one would hope.
