Two solutions : either he has not yet chosen (or had chosen and decided to change his choice) and this once again shows he is not fitted to be president (there is nothing new in this attack in Nice, so there is no reason to change his mind)

or he has decided that his choice could be introduced a little more discretely and is using Nice to justify a discreet launch on Saturday.

Dont know which one it is, but we'll probably know if it is Pence today. He has to withdraw from the race this morning so that the downballot races can reorganize in time.
