And we can't stop repubican nominees without the senate.
It would be quite unusual for a president to nominate 5.
Nominations typically happen on a fairly regular basis providing opportunities to re-balance the court with the consent of the senate.
It's really the balance of the court that's most important, not the length of the terms.
So how come you think there will be ~5 nominees in the next 4 years?
