don't forget that the entire House is again up for election this year.

My Congressman, Tim Bishop (NY1), is in for another hard fight with a teabagger, probably the same one as last time. After 6 terms he won by only 500 votes last time, so to say we're worried is an understatement.

Gary Ackerman (NY5) just anounced his retirement. While his district down the road should be reliably Democratic, even after redistricting, he's been in Congress for 30 years now so who knows what will happen when the seat is open. (Look what happened when Weiner quit!)

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is up for her normal election after being appointed and a special election. She won the special with 63% of the vote and the Republicans have little to go up against her so we're pretty confident she'll be back-- but you never know...

And, there's all that local stuff, including a hometown girl and member of our local Democratic Club running for State Assembly.
