outside Teabagger influence. There are also a lot of Rushbots and Faux-believers.

As with so many supposedly "red" states, had Prez Obama campaigned there, he could have given Romney a real run for the money, IMO.

But given the dynamics of this particular Presidential election, including the influence of outside PAC monies after the USSC unwisely struck down a state statute specifically prohibiting this (not to mention the disastrous Citizens United decision) and with Tester having a tough race of his own where even the slightest identification with "unpopular" national policies of the President might have tipped the balance, the Obama campaign wisely focused resources where they should have.

For the future, I believe that my birth state is definitely one for the Dems to cultivate, even if only for the psychological impact such a victory would have on other Western states.
