Do I understand this correctly? [View all]

1. Trump makes comments about illegal immigrants.
2. Hispanic customers stop going to restaurants owned by Trump.
3. Restaurants start breaking contracts such as leases to get out from businesses hurt by comments.
4. Trump sues said restaurants.
5. Due to lawsuit, emails and testimony become public record showing that the campaign, which includes the children who are employees of the business, knew that Trump was hurting the businesses through his behavior.

Is that the gist of it? If so, it seems like they are hurting their own campaign by suing and making these things public record.
