2016 Postmortem
In reply to the discussion: Fox News claiming Hillary had medical episode..... [View all]NoGoodNamesLeft
(2,056 posts)38. It's not a big deal....
Large crowd.
Hot and Humid.
Standing still.
Formal attire, not shorts and a tank top to stay cool.
Extremely emotional event and highly personal since she was senator to NY at the time of 9/11.
Campaigning up to 18 hours a day.
My 100% healthy son has been prone to overheating like this since he was quite young. You get out of the sun/heat into air conditioning/cool place and rest and you are as good as new.
My ex husband was in the Navy. Every time they had inspections in their dress blues (even in the winter in New England) someone would overheat and collapse from locking their knees. Never failed.

I hope her health is good, but this is really bad optics for her campaign.

That's good spin, but that's spin. If you want to be POTUS, you're expected to be able to make it

Well, you're wrong. Multiple sources including her campaign are commenting on it.

This isn't good if it's true. It will become THE issue for the media from now on.

They can try and force a nonissue. But the debate is coming & this nonissue will soon be forgotten

Watch the video of the event. You think it will be a non-issue over the next two months?

It was crowded and hot. To be expected. So yes, I think it will be a nonissue.

Thanks for the post. Once you start feeling woozy you know you need to hydrate.

Well, I'd vote for Hillary even if she had six months to live before I'd vote for Trump

Good Lord...she overheated. I have done that many times and had to leave where I was.

This fits an already established narrative. To pretend it isn't going to have big legs....

No they won't. History will repeat itself. They forget when the media needs a new outrage
