In the aftermath our objective media will carefully assemble focus groups of "undecided" voters who will tell us that Trump did a great job and now they're leaning toward voting for him. In the days following we'll hear that Trump did "better than expected," and it will be made clear that he's now considered a serious contender rather that as the deranged sideshow barker that we all know him to be.


Happened in 2012, in 2008, in 2004 and in 2000. Probably earlier than that, too, but I didn't watch those in real time.
