Sounds like these were the emails they found, which were likely just on an IMAP mail account which would go to ALL devices she set that mail account up on. IMAP mail lives on the mail server and everytime you log in on ANY new device all those mails get pushed to the device UNLESS the email is deleted. Since there was an investigation she would not have wanted to delete these emails because with IMAP if you erase a mail it erases on ALL devices, so anything sent to those personal accounts to print will forever get pushed to any device she ever signs into with that account UNTIL she deletes them.

All they have to do is look and see if this is an IMAP mail account or not. If it is and they saw the emails on another device then these are NOT new emails.
