Newsweek, expecting a Hillary Clinton victory, ships “Madam President” issue to newsstands [View all]

One day before the nation goes to the polls to pick the next President of the United States and we all await the result, print magazines find themselves in the tricky position of trying to get their next issue to newsstands as quickly after the winner is named as possible. But it turns out one major magazine isn’t even waiting: its next issue has already begun arriving in the back rooms of stores, with a cover which features a picture of Hillary Clinton and reads “Madam President.”

Newsweek has gone ahead and printed and shipped its commemorative Madam President issue in advance, so it can hit newsstands first thing Wednesday morning. Copies began arriving on Monday, and some store employees began posting pictures of the issue, such as the one seen below posted by a Facebook user whom we’ll only identify as “H” so that she doesn’t get in trouble with her employer:
