2016 Postmortem
In reply to the discussion: Stein has changed the goal to 7 million dollars [View all]oberliner

A recount is great. It won't change the results, but it's a good thing to do.
What's not great is the fact that people have donated millions of dollars to a political party that actively and aggressively worked against Hillary Clinton for president and will continue to do the same against other Democrats with the very money that they are be given by said Democrats.

I've donated 20 times as much to the Democratic party as I have for this recount.

I am not worried. As long as she files for a recount and sees that the recount is actually performed

Focusing on contests where Democrats can actually win? Now there's a novel idea.

Why would you not want a recount? No one else is stepping up to do one.

I'm alarmed to see the number moving up without her saying she will do the recount

If she raises 7 and the fees only total 6 what does she do with the other million?

She will probably need more than 7 million with all the lawyers and workers involved

The "something else" she will do with the money is "continue to run against and attack Democrats"

Yes and 7 million seems low. I woul estimate up to twice that if they go all the way.

No matter the outcome, election reform will now be a national issue. That is good.

I seriously think she is NOT USING IT TO RAISE FUNDS for the Green Party itself.

My understanding is, she can get recount in WI but in MI and PA she will have to convince the courts
