His people know his only hope is the 'lynch that n****r in our White House' vote, and his people also know that those voters do not really view him as 'one of us'. Such a staged moment would genuinely offend many of these voters, who would view it as rejection, and as proof he is 'really' no different from the rest of the liberals who defend that 'Kenyan traitor'. His people will fear such a scene would cost him many more votes than it might gain.
