(9,289 posts)93. I don't see the disagreement between Coates and Sanders that you do.
Obviously Sanders doesn't believe that racism is dead and neither does Coates. One thing I really like about Coates is that he recognizes the huge role that structural neglect in the inner city continues to have in disadvantaging blacks. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think any of the candidates are talking enough about the need to radically invest in poor inner city neighborhoods.
