There are not many who would design recovery from a serious femur fracture to insure that no time was lost on making this deal. From getting secure phone lines in a Boston hospital so he could both work and recover to taking only Tylenol for pain.

On a happier note, his longtime friendship with Moniz meant the two worked together without the typical ego issues that many cabinet heads would have working together
