(17,064 posts)I've talked to the PDA people organizing Florida. The Sanders campaign has some very knowledgeable people running it. At this point, the campaign is operating on a tight budget...sanders doesn't have the backing of Wall St billionaires like Clinton does. So the campaign focus is on the early states. PDA is laying the groundwork in the other states, getting volunteers signed up and scheduling rallies. When the campaign moves into those states, the groundwork the PDA has laid is going to be turned over to the campaign to manage. It's a well organized grass roots effort that is gaining momentum and has a good chance of succeeding. It's thousands of volunteers being ACTIVE, not a bunch of hired PR people, pollsters, focus groups, and consultants. Democracy in action, baby.
