3. The press did not destroy Edwards and it was not the affair either, his votes were horrible ...

read his history well before the affair ever became public. He had poor judgement, something I mentioned tonight in a couple of posts about other candidates. You need to have decent instincts from the get go, Edwards was sorely lacking. Sure he could speak a good game and admit mistakes later on and he might think that was all well and good, but you need those 'raw' instincts without all the facts sometimes. No leader is ever presented with all the facts before making a decision or taking a position.

Edwards was an opportunist, pure and simple, I could use more choice words but I will not.

Many on DU ran to support Edwards as 'more electable' over Kucinich and did not see him for the scam artist he was, we can only judge politicians by their record.

"And the press destroyed Edwards once and for all."

Edwards destroyed himself with his record long before his affair, if you were paying attention, sorry to bust your fantasy world.
