(55,981 posts)the fact that the grassroots warned them not to. It turned off a lot of voters. Now the DLC or The Third Way are again going to run a Conservative DEmocrat. Don't blame a loss on the voters. Blame the loss on the choice of candidates.
No one ever said that both parties are the same, the have said over and over that the leadership of both parties are beholden to the same oligarchy. Also said is that we need a progressive president.
The argument that one should choose the bad cop because the other choice is a terrible cop is worn out.
In 2000 the oligarchy didn't care if it was Conservative Gore or Conservative Bush. In 2016 Goldman-Sachs repeated the thought, either the conservative Clinton or the Conservative Bush.
If you want to defeat the Republicons, don't nominate a conservative Democrat.
