(30,884 posts)It's not true that polls will skip people like you. Here is how they treat you:
-27 years old: your age would qualify you for the poll.
-Never voted before, never been registered before : that would still make you eligible for polls of all potential voters. If the poll asks a "likely to vote question" you'd even make it into the sample for a poll of likely voters although past history would suggest that the weight of your answer is lower than for people who have voted before because you aren't even registered.
-Have never owned nor do I own a landline telephone. pollsters have been including cell phone users for at least the last three presidential elections and the percentage of cell users respondents has increased each time. Some polls are done electronically too.
Nonpartisan pollsters have no product if they aren't polling a representative sample.
