(82,197 posts)Well, thank you OP for doing such a GREAT job in proving the point that Bernie does have GRAND ideas, but not an ounce of Substance. Your links do so well in proving just that point!
Your section on women points out 7 bills that Bernie sponsors or cosponsors, yet not a single one.. that's right NOT A SINGLE ONE, has passed either Senate, or House yet, much less the presidency or came anywhere NEAR becoming an actual law.. You are so right, the idea is there. No meat.
Your section on families and children.. Three wonderful links. All introduced, but again, that's as far as they've gone. Great ideas, no substance.
The biggie for Bernie.. Corporations, and tax breaks. you give 5x great links. How many are anywhere past the starting gate of being introduced? Yep, that's right.. a big fat ZERO again. All are right there at the starting gate of good ideas.
Healthcare.. 4x introduced.. 4x still just at introduced.
Justice Reform: 5x more great links showing those great ideas.. yep, once again, all are just in that nice starting phase of introduced.
Investment and protection of our workers: 5x proposed 5x still just proposed.
Fighting for our youth? 2 for 2
Veterans: Congratulations.. you did find one bill , S.1493 to adjust the veterans cost of living that has passed the Senate. What's better, the ONLY bill in your entire list of bills, that Senator Sanders co-sponsored was one that was proposed by Senator Johnny Isakson, a REPUBLICAAN from Georgia. The one bill is a bipartisan bill.. how ironic when the whole Bernie is the bestest argument is that he doesn't compromise. But you did get one here that has had SOME progress at least.
Protecting our Democracy) 1 for 1 just introduced.. nothing more.
Environment? Again, 5 for 5 just introduced and nothing more.
You have done such a WONDERFUL job proving our point that Bernies is a man of great ideas.. but nothing else.
You have given us 45 examples, and with only 1 exception, they are all JUST ideas. The only one that has passed the Senate is a bipartisan one that is actually proposed by a Republican.
Thank you, I was actually beginning to wonder if my supposition that Bernie is just ideas. My moment of self-doubt has now passed.
