Because, of course, you can reasonably say the very same thing about Hillary Clinton.

Indeed, the antipathy by the Repuglicans towards the Clintons is undoubtedly much higher than it is towards Sanders.

Or are the Hillarians trying to insist that because Hillary is more conservative than Sanders that the Repuglicans in Congress will have less problems with her more conservative proposals?

And ... it is a defeatist point, too. The Hillarians seem to be very confident that the Repuglicans are going to keep majority control of both houses of Congress at the 2016 elections.

I understand being enthusiastic for one's chosen candidate, but some of the arguments the Hillary supporters come up with are just off the wall. I have an idea why, but it is too bad because in the long it doesn't help the Democratic Party or the liberal, progressive cause.
