You'd be surprised how liberal our generation actually was. But I don't mean to make this a pissing contest. I am pleased to say I never fret about "the kids today." Hated that when I was young, and would never pull that on any generation. But you are the one who alluded to old people yelling at the kids to get off the lawn. OK, you have your grievances, and so does everyone. That shouldn't prevent us working together to make things better. If we disagree on exactly how to do that, at least we don't have to be so angry about it. And we were all taken by surprise with the speed that the GOP moved ever farther rightward. My generation is guilty of being too willing to believe conservatives had the best interests of the country at heart even if we disagreed with their views. We've been disabused of that notion quite thoroughly by now, believe me.
