You may not care, and I get that. Most of the votes, I wouldn't care either. This is a specific vote, that he campaigns on, and couldn't be bothered or see the necessity in speaking out with his vote.
It was the wrong vote to miss.
He often and critically calls out Obama and comparing him and our party to Republicans. Supporting Obama here would be to his advantage. ACA is a clear difference, and though just a step, a step toward what Sanders advocate.
PP is about women.
His vote would have been that Democratic support the base says Sanders lacks as an Independent and continually attacking Obama. Setting aside women by not bothering with the vote on PP absolutely reinforces the belief that women are simply not a priority for Sanders.
This vote mattered.
Here he is wanting my vote, the Democratic base vote, and two very big issues weren't priority. What if it was on an issue he actually values? Would he have made himself available?
