(15,435 posts)About $30 is all I can afford, but I did get the email from his campaign saying that they expect to cross the $2 million mark by tomorrow night. My bad, but I don't know when the quarter ends so he may go even higher because this of us who contribute monthly probably haven't been counted. I think mine is withdrawn on or after the 15th. Could be later, I need to check for sure. Having so many people making these small contributions can only mean one thing... THAT'S A WHOLE LOTTA PEOPLE!
Sure he may getting some $2700 donations, but my bet is that most are much smaller. I live in a very RED county and so far, and this is the ABSOLUTE truth, I've seen ONE Trump bumper sticker, NO Hillary bumpers stickers and 5 for Bernie. Among my local caucus we all have them, but I'm just talking about vehicles outside of my group. I thought I would have seen at least ONE for Hillary, but not yet.
And Manatee/Sarasota counties together have scheduled many events. One that I'm connected with is every Thursday trying to get people registered and make sure they understand that we're a closed Primary state. Unfortunately I have a very screwed up back and over the years have tried every option available to help, but still have times when all I can do is "nothing!" Scoliosis, arthritis, degenerative disks along with bone density problems aren't fixable. Epidurals do help for 6-8 months and I've gone there as a last resort. Hoping some rest with heat will be enough and plan to get right back out there.
Not looking for sympathy, it's just frustrating at times like this because Bernie needs us all to do what we can. Making phone calls will be on my agenda for now.
I'm so SICK of TRUMP, TRUMP, TRUMP and then HILLARY, HILLARY, HILLARY on our side! Our Democrats have essential made Bernie "the invisible man" and I'm furious that the Democratic Party I have been a member of forever has lurched so far to the right. The DLC has hijacked the Party in a way I never thought possible. I do believe it will end up VERY BADLY for Democrats in the long run. I don't think they're aware of how many of us are seriously thinking of becoming Independents or NPA. I have to admit that I'm one of those who will make this decision after this election and I'm not alone.
Anyway, fingers crossed and let's KEEP FIGHTING for Bernie!
