He and I stuck together all day, but were treated with a rotating review of local volunteers who escaped from work and home obligations in 2 and 3 hour blocs. One young woman, bless her, was 27ish, 3 youngsters, worked from 6:30 to 3:00 at her job and then came and helped the team for 3 hours. We had 'em black, white--very young and really old---minimum wager's and not so minimum (e.g. Jack Lynch the attorney). Quite the experience. Proud and teary.
