They were criticizing the actions of one or several people who had taken on the mantle of BLM and acted in a way that many found deeply problematic, including a number of people within BLM.

Although the eventual outcome (huge press coverage for BLM) was probably positive, grabbing the mike at someone elses event and telling a crowd of progressive people that they are racists was something some of us still take issue with. She didn't know those people, what they believed in or what they had done in the past, and to judge them purely on the color of THEIR skin was wildly hypocritical. When someones actions risk causing divisions amongst carefully built progressive coalitions, its not unreasonable for people to ask questions about their motivations.
