10. for the last few years I've been into the more ancient history

not of feminism but more of how women got to be so subjugated in the first place. It seems that in those places and cultures where there were multi-gods (multi-god cultures had both male and female gods) women in the culture were more equal and had power in their own right. Fascinating stuff. And also frightening in how bad things became for women. The middle ages right up through the Renaissance was probably the worst time to be a woman. It's horrible not only how subjugated women were through all classes but how women generally condoned it. That's also facinating... how/why women themselves greatly contributed to their own subjugation.
