Nothing promotes a movie like a off screen romance, A "because I can" factor, a longing for lost youth, a maturation issue, and in either gender, a desire to obscure ones sexual orientation

It doesn't bother me too much. What bothers me is how women are portrayed so unrealistically young in so many roles.

It's well known there is a dearth of good roles for older women, although for older male 'action' stars they can always do something; from something as excretable as "The Expendables" to academy award winning roles.

For older women its minor roles, TV, or the stage. And that's bullshit.
