(42,674 posts)Short walks, whatever. Take whatever mild analgesic is available, be creative; draw or paint or draw faces on water balloons and toss 'em (fun)--whatever--and reserve your right to feel emotion around the pain--like rage.
I never had problems-- even menopause is easy so far--but I've worked with mostly women for a long long time
Alternate; crawl into bed with a cuppa and a good book or movie or music and reduce other stimulation. Focus on yourself, it's ok to do that, no shame.
If the cramps remain harsh see your health care provider (if you have insurance, if not find a sliding scale clinic that has women's well checks---but DO go)
Increasing exercise when you're not cramping, sleeping a proper amount that works for you, taking in sufficient fluids. (avoid surgery juices and pops--just as a part of general good health)
Keep a diary, note when they start, how long they last. Be aware if anything affects them. ( not while your having them--then most likely what your aware of is pain) I know some woo stuff as well, but I'm not woo.
