For those of us who have been raped, the constant association of sex and violence is really a trigger.
I know, most people would say "no big deal, you are overly sensitive." Try growing up being raped then being raped as an adult, too, and then see how you feel about the threat of sexual violence or a society that pretty much condones it while giving only lip service to trying to stop it.
