women were beaten, arrested, forced fed for the right to vote. They have been shut out of the highest office in this country for over 200 years. Watch your tone we are told. Being told how we should act. Don't upset. Be nice. Sit down and shut up. Not good enough.

Fuck that shit.

I will not deny that I am happy a woman has a real chance to be President. I will not watch my tone. Sorry you feel offended by the realities women face. Sorry you feel offended that I won't obey.
Don't upset.

When Clinton lost, she is the one that brought her supporters over to Obama. Clinton wins? She is the one who has to woo Bernie supporters. It is up to Bernie to pull his supporters in and help the party unite. Just because he is a man does not give him immunity from doing the right thing.
Be nice.

Men have held these power positions for centuries, why are the rules changing now that a woman is opening the door.
sit down and shut up.

We are only allowed to celebrate within the boundaries set up by Bernie and his supporters.
How we should act.

I have seen many posts by *some* people that say they won't vote for Clinton unless she adopts Bernie's platform. Unless she does XYZ, they won't vote for her.
Not good enough

I'm done. I remember when my Mother divorced. We had to move out of our home. Because a single woman was not allowed by the bank to hold a mortgage in her own name, by herself as a female. Even though her income could easily pay the mortgage. Today we have a woman who may very well be the prime occupant of the highest house in our country. I remember my grandmother was a midwife, but could not be a doctor. I remember when women were not allowed in military colleges, today my daughter is a Captain in the military.
