17. I hope Merrybloom returns, but I think we need to take a lesson from this...

We are allowing our detractors in meta to impact the group and to deter from our goal of having a safe haven. Passing Fair has posted a thread here suggesting hiding (trashing) meta. Whether or not we all decide to do so, I think, we need to refocus our efforts on book club and our group threads/discussions--the things that make the group worthwhile.

Please, let's not let the ugliness that never ceases among some in Meta drive away Merrybloom and others. Engaging with the unrelenting group in Meta that wants nothing more than to create more drama is self-defeating. Time, I think to redouble our efforts toward making this group what it can and should be and let the hatefulness permeating meta die out of its own accord.

Just my thoughts, but I feel better for a decision to stop posting in meta. Avoiding it totally will take a bit more restraint.
