4. Awareness is a good thing. So is helping the many victims. That's still just addressing symptoms.

The cause is the sense of male entitlement and misogyny that all patriarchal societies instill in all children... not to mention the constant conflation of sex with violence, and the idea that violence is a reasonable method of resolving conflict. We really need to start addressing it.
