Instructions suggest I should introduce myself. OK, let's see how well I do, "introducing" my digital self to other digital selves. (Kind of dubious, by the way, of the value of this. Not sure that interaction on topics depends on whether or not I'm Kosher, but we'll see.)
Anyway, I'm a past 55, female, longtime political junkie. That's the relevant stuff for DU. I'm also a former college English professsor, a published novelist and essayist, a business isue ghostwriter, editor, researcher, mother, grandmother, dog lover, tennis player, bridge player --see, here's the part that makes me wonder where the Facebook distinctions occur. I don't think that I can be boxed or profiled. But then everybody thinks that.
I'm deeply interest and invested in issues regarding government and the future, or not, of capitalism. Not sure how knowing any of this other stuff matters, but will try to be polite and conventional. (Up to a point.) Been lurking here practically forever. Would like to participate if I have anything to offer.
