Advertisements - all or nothing? [View all]
I have not been a star member on DU3 primarily because I objected, on principle, to the financial based class structure the new single (high) price created. Now that that objection has been removed, I have put my money where my mouth has been and am a star member (again) for the first time on DU3.
On DU2 there were options to allow advertising (in at least a couple of levels) so that DU could make some money off of my page views. I always permitted all but the most intrusive advertising - and mostly I don't notice the advertising except for the big flashy headlines, or the big box which sits on top of some posts. I wouldn't mind letting some advertising show on my page if it makes DU a few pennies - but I don't see any option like that here. Is it gone, or am I missing an option to fine tune what advertising I am willing to see?
