Did Mitt Romney Go Brownface in Attempt to Woo Latino Voters?

If you thought Mitt Romney's week couldn't get any worse, it just did.

The blog Democratic Underground seems to have called it first: The Republican candidate appears to have gotten darker in only a day's time. Fine, you say, he has property on the beach right here in Southern California. It happens.

Yeah, but this particular coincidence coincided with ...

... a "candidate forum" talk with Univision, aimed at Latino voters.

Mitt Romney In BrownFace at Univision.

The folks at the New Civil Rights Movement are caling out Mitt Romney on his ignorant blackface or LatinoFace last night on Univision. Yes, Mitt Romney got sprayed down in darker face coloring.

The New Civil Rights Movement points out that Mitt Romney showed up at the largest Spanish language U.S. television network, and showed the audience of Latinos and Hispanics that he was one of them — by dying his skin brown. There is absolutely no question that Romney either used some form of a self-tanner, or get a very deep, dark tan in a very short amount of time, but somehow, all images are consistent with the fact that Romney appeared last night on TV with a significantly darker face.
