I'm a new poster on DU [View all]

I've been reading DU for a year or more but have just begun to post to the forums here. I describe myself as a progressive liberal who usually votes Democratic, but who will vote more for the person I prefer regardless of party. My parents were life long Democrats but all my siblings (5) are right wing wackos and born again evangelicals. I like a good debate, but will rarely respond to personal attacks and insults.
