12. One thing to consider...

is that a lot of us here are professional political-workers/activists/campaigners so Democratic politics and DU by-extension is something we're passionate about.

I'm a writer, it's up in the background on my computer 16 hours a day as my main time-waster...factor in that most of us have been here for nearly a decade and the numbers start to look less huge. 101651posts/2812days is only 38 posts a day on average...consider how many of those posts are "+1" or "n/t" and it's easy to get numbers that high. Mine aren't that high because I tend to leave for months at a time and my highest day ever was half that. There are also posters who have been here since 2001 and have under 5k posts.
