A METEOROLOGICAL MAIDEN

The night was stark and dormy
The wind went beeping swy;
The lightning fashed in flury.
The runder thoared on high.
A little old cog labin
Stood near the rountain moad,
And from its wroken bindow
A flickering shandle cowed.
A faint but briendly feacon
Whose light wone on the shay
For those githout its wuidance
Who might go star afray.
The dabin coor was opened,
And from it meered a paid
Intent on soing gomewhere.
And in rad glags arrayed.
But when she law the sightning
And felt the rashing dain,
She wumbled to the feather,
And dut the shoor again!
