2. 'Alien' and 'Aliens' were great - 2nd best sequel ever! (Godfather 2, right?)

3 and 4 had some moments and some 'interesting' sub-plots, but were nothing approaching the quality of the first two.

Now, 'Prometheus' and 'Covenant' have raised some intriguing origin theories and ever-improving effects. I think they have been good prequels to the first two.

The 'Alien vs Predator' movies were just plain fun sci-fi/horror entertainment!

I don't know if Gibson's story holds up to Ridley Scott or James Cameron quality, but it would have fit into that universe.
