And that is part of the difference.

I understand that Matthews wife is running of the U.S. House and has tied her star to Hillary.

So, Matthews advocacy for Clinton is self-serving.

Besides, I haven't noticed Hayes or Maddow being especially pro-Sanders ... although they tend to be pro-progressive and not so moderate like Clinton.

I think Matthews is scared of the Sanders phenomenon ... he is so stuck in conventional wisdom, the way it's always been done mentality, that this energy for Sanders perplexes and frightens him.

Of course, this is hugely ironic because I remember Matthews had a radio talk show in the early 1990s and he hated, I mean he absolutely hated the Clintons.
