Ultimately it's a matter of a fundamentally different candidate from either Obama or Clinton. There were activists who thought Obama was more like Sanders, but the people behind the scenes in the Establishment knew he would play ball for them. The advisers surrounding him were Establishment types and his positions were pretty moderate. Bernie will absolutely not play ball with them and they know it. They are scared shitless.
