Unfortunately, I have to agree with pretty much everything about it. I don't think the party "leadership" at the higher levels understand why they win or lose elections. There is a level of self delusion that they can't seem to break through. I abhor politics, especially party politics with a passion. I am all about policy and outcome. I only registered as a Democrat because I needed to for working on campaigns for people that I found worth supporting.
As an example, the understanding of the losses in 2014 by the party where because people didn't vote. Sure, but why didn't they vote? Perhaps if the candidates were offering something to vote for and had a history that could make it believable more than 30% of my precinct might have gotten to the polls. And as they say when more people vote, Democrats win.
