55. OH, There Is Actual Proof It Was Stolen In 2000!

I just got a call from my local Supervisor of Elections to talk to me about what our duties will be on election night. THIS is the county that kinda/sorta lost about 18,000 votes when Vern Buchanan ran against Christine Jennings.

Yeah, Florida has long been known as the state that doesn't know how to vote. We have Rick Scott as our Governor who was indicted 51 times and took the 5th on all charges regarding his dealings with HCA. So even though Charlie Crist was once a Repub., many Dems came out and voted for him and he was ahead by a small margin for months, BUT we now have RICK SCOTT again, I call him THE ALIEN because he LOOKS like one! I've seen him in person and he has these weird piercing eyes that surely scares babies (lol) but HE got elected! Many Dems vote for Repukes here too. This state isn't Democratic friendly in Tallahassee.

We have formed Democratic Progressive Caucuses of Florida in many counties and have gotten an approved Charter, but Tallahassee has already tried to shut us down. They've failed so far. We just need to make this place much more Progressive, but we're not popular up there. The groups are very new so we'll see how it goes. A baby step anyway.

My county is so Red, but recently because of this election there were long lines of people switching from being Ind. or other to either D or R to vote in our Primary. I've never seen this happen, just wish I knew if they were changing to vote for Trump or Bernie! THAT I don't know... but record numbers of people DID switch. We do have many Ind., here that generally vote R though.

It's tough being a Dem. here!

But yes, IMO there's always a lot of suspicion here and working at polling places I've asked questions about things that have happened that I never get answers to. It's been so much worse because of the MACHINES! Many of us vote Absentee, but even then you can check to see if they received your vote, BUT there's no way you can verify that it was counted. But, I guess it's that way everywhere.
