(17,997 posts)I know that on DU he's not the first choice of some of the black people. But I have seen MANY Facebook groups that are for Bernie.
In my life, every one of my minority friends, including LGBT, support Bernie.
Was at the DMV 2 days ago and a bunch of us were discussing the primary. Only two of the 8 or so people supported anyone but Bernie and only two of us were white.
You must not be paying close attention. Bernie Sanders has said more about social justice in his life and in this campaign, than any other candidate. His main issue is economic but he is the candidate for social justice. He is the only Democrat that hasn't had to grow into the realization that society treats minorities and women unfairly
Further, like it or not, without economic justice, you can't get the laws passed to help improve social justice. That goes for every single type of social justice, which all falls under equality and decency. Women's rights, elder rights, minority rights, etc. As long as politicians are in corporate pockets, we're going to have problems getting laws passed to end inequality
