(44,104 posts)clumsy 'Who's he? the socialist? He doesn't like immigrants vey much' was fake. G. was once well regarded but he's DLC all the way. Poor, tired Claire McCaskill's prepared attacks on Bernie were even worse; when Mark Halpern on Morning Joe questioned her afterwards she couldn't name but one way Bernie was 'radical- the ACA, sure.
The Latino community must be reached and educated, not just go with the label, party candidate. (I did that with Clinton b/c I was uninformed, and it's been a shocker to learn what was going on, After the fact). How do Latinos feel about the huge numbers of Hispanic people in prison serving long sentences? Clinton, then Bush were involved in increased penalties and expansion of privatized, for profit corporate prisons in the last 20 years.
People are changing, and are sick of the two corporate parties and their empty promises who often have the same interests, and that is NOT WORKING PEOPLE AND FAMILIES! no matter how much they say they care about populist, pro people issues during the campaign- it's just to get votes. Clinton did it and so did Obama. Most are centrists, owned by the corps who bankroll their campaigns and Bernie is NOT.
