that having David Brock on one's campaign would necessarily indicate that one is not interested in dealing in fairness, in decency or in honesty? And wouldn't that necessarily mean that one is a flawed candidate on a very basic level?

That's the way my thought processes work, anyway, and it would fill me with self-loathing to advocate for such a candidate. I encourage input, as I'm truly interested in improving my thought processes, especially as they pertain to ethical behavior.
