wouldn't there be seats, unless that part is roped off for some reason and they want everyone on the field. In any event and I could be wrong but, I think they have to provide some sort of accommodation by law.

The last Bernie rally I attended in NYC was in a park but there was a fenced-off section with chairs for those who couldn't stand for an extended time. One of the volunteers pointed it out to me (I'm no spring chicken). Also, when I attended a deBlasio rally after he was elected Mayor (for better or worse) a couple of elderly people were ushered to the front of the line.
