5. Step three is to take back some of the governorships and state legislatures.

THAT'S where the cancer spreads most virulently: in the states. It's not enough just to keep the White House.

Hopefully when Bernie runs for reelection - in a MIDTERM election cycle, he can inspire many Dems to get off their butts and go VOTE. There are so many more Democratic voters out there than there are CON voters. If only we all exercised the sheer power (and reality) of our greater numbers, we'd have this thing licked before the next decade.

Don't forget, looking ahead to 2020 - THAT'S when we can REALLY make a difference, because that's a census year. And Congressional districts get reapportioned. And we can head off a LOT of that damn gerrymandering of districts that artificially tilt the playing field and give unfair and un-earned advantage to the bad guys, if - AND ONLY IF - we have OUR tribe in charge. And that can only happen if we all go vote, and exercise the muscles in our greater numbers.
