59. Yes, it is very encouraging to see so many young people engaged in what is after all, their own

future. I doubt what goes on here has even the remotest impact on the world outside this forum. So focusing on issues is the best thing to do.

Clearly Bernie's momentum hasn't been affected by DU lol!

I think before he decided to run, Bernie was very tuned in to the people, he stayed in touch with them, he knew they were angry.

The inside DC political class doesn't seem to have a clue they are so out of touch with real people.

So they continue to use the old political tactics, they very thing people are sick and tired of, to try to smear and distort the record of the only person in the race who has actually fought for the issues that people care about.

It must be frustrating for them to see the total failure of those old tactics because they don't know why.

Bernie has an army of volunteers who are setting the record straight each time a new talking point or smear is 'unveiled'.

Here's how I judge Bernie supporters. Most of whom are not here on DU engaging in useless non productive arguments with people who clearly are not here to talk about issues.

They are out in the real world, and all over Social Media, promoting their candidate and have done an incredible job so far to the point where he is now an undeniably viable candidate.

It's easy to get bogged down sometimes in the personal stuff, but it's important to me to stay focused on what really matters.

Many people are gone from this forum, either banned or left because of the vitriol and the pushing of a smear campaign against Sanders.

The one I miss the most is Jackpine Liberal who passed away recently and who was one of the most thoughtful, intelligent contributors to this group. That was a real shock. I wish he had lived to see Bernie's success so far.

Those on timeout, can return. He cannot, which puts things in perspective for me re those who are temporarily unable to post here.
